Python Crash Course
Fri, Jan 13 - Sun, Jan 15, 2023
Exact dates: TBD
This course aims to teach everyone the basics of programming computers using Python. We cover the basics of how one constructs a program from a series of simple instructions in Python. The course has no pre-requisites and avoids all but the simplest mathematics. Anyone with moderate computer experience should be able to master the materials in this course.
This course can serve as basis for the course "Deep Learning Crash Course", which requires basic programming skills.
Why choose us?
This is not your conventional bootcamp. Here is why:
Learning in a group is not only more fun but it also keeps you motivated, so you finally follow through those online courses. We encourage peer-to-peer learning, while being part of an extended community of digital nomads and entrepreneurs at the co-working spaces we collaborate with.
There is an abundance of great learning resources on the internet catering to diverse needs and learning types. We select some of the best rated online courses out there and combine them into thought-through curricula, so you don’t have to.
Conventional bootcamps can easily cost several thousands of USD - because they use proprietary learning material and employ instructors full-time. We on the other hand base our curriculum entirely on free online courses, while involving instructors as tutors rather than lecturers.
Beyond Data Science
It is our mission to go beyond teaching mere technical skills and also facilitate a critical reflection on the effects of digitalization and technology on our society. In our Friday talks we invite external speakers to provide real-life insights, putting your learnings into perspective and involving the extended community.
"It is really nice to be able to just bounce ideas back and to actually have that comradery in learning. That for me was very valuable."
"I really recommend this camp as a core foundation for Data Science as it covers the breadth of Data Science and different areas of Machine Learning."
...is to bring together people in amazing learning environments to help them achieve their study goals.
Despite the rise of online interaction and courses, we believe that a co-located community of learners provides the best learning experience. In our communities we encourage childlike curiosity and critical thinking to dig deeper and beyond pre-defined curricula.
Our vision is to create learning communities across the globe in which real connections are forged and learners thrive. We want to go beyond mere technical skill and also reflect on the greater impact of technology on society. With our educational model we want to showcase that a sense of community and focus on content and real-life applications is more conducive to the learning experience than expensive certificates that focus on big names.
